Naruhina-The Binds That Hold-Ch. 7



It had been a day since the two have talked, Naruto was worried about what Hinata thought when she saw him at the hot spring. He could have guessed she was mad at him because she thought he was a pervert or something, but he couldn’t help but stare. He decided that this was the day, the day he would tell her he loved her. The Hokage’s building was deserted, everyone but Tsunade was long gone, so the halls were dead quite. As Naruto walked through the door to Tsunade’s office, he saw Hinata standing there. He knew the two were waiting for him. He mumbled an apology and stood next to Hinata, who he could see was blushing quite much, as was he. They both knew about each other being at the spring, but neither of them wanted to speak of it. It was Tsunade that broke the awkward silence.
“So I take it you two are packed and ready to go?” they both nodded yes.
“Then get a move on!” Tsunade said, trying to get the two started.
“Okay, but what does it look like?” Naruto said, pushing his thoughts of Hinata to the back of his head.
“It is a multi-colored fruit, hard to miss, hard to find, only one grows per year, so go quick!!” Tsunade said as the two, startled by her last sudden outburst, ran out the door. Out of instinct, they were holding hands.

Hinata came to realization of the intertwinement of their hands, and began blushing as she saw that Naruto was also doing the same. The two grabbed their things and headed out. After a few hours of hiking, they came two a stop and Naruto announced,
“We’ll set up camp here, I have my tent, do you have yours?” he asked, hoping she didn’t.
“I-I-I knew there was s-s-something I f-forgot!” Hinata exclaimed, Naruto surprised at her sudden outburst.
“It’s okay, my tent is large enough for the both of us,” Naruto said as he put up his tent, crawled inside it and fell asleep. Hinata, realizing her sleeping bag was torn and battered, she wrapped it around herself and snuggled up to Naruto, the warm emanating from his body felt warm on her face as she fell asleep.

Naruto was awake now, and as he drifted off to sleep, he thought of how he might tell her he was in love with her, and with that, finally fell asleep.

Hinata awoke under the orange glow emanating from the tent from the morning sun. She looked over at the man lying next to her, and realized that he was mumbling in his sleep. She listened closely and heard him say the same things he did a few nights ago, except this was different by three words, and by chance those words were “I love you” and as he did so, he closed the distance between them and kissed Hinata lightly one the lips. As he starting to pull back, she quickly closed the distance between them again, this time with a more passionate kiss, this time exploring his mouth with her tongue. It felt amazing but she knew she would have to pull away at the risk of waking him, so she withdrew.

Now Naruto was awake, awake and his face feeling hotter than usually, he felt warm inside as the taste of Hinata’s tongue was still in his mouth, he liked it.
